“My marks follow rules I find in nature. Order is my method – in the end, something alive should emerge.”
Lena Ditlmann, born 1982, lives and works in Augsburg.
Her works are created predominantly by analog means, presenting abstract constructions rooted in the mathematical structures of the visible world. Natural forms — dragonfly wings, leaves, crystalline patterns — are not imitated but interrogated for their underlying systems.
Studied at the HfG Offenbach (Diploma), followed by guest studies at the Städelschule Frankfurt with Prof. Judith Hopf. Represented since 2016 by Galerie Anita Beckers, Frankfurt, and internationally by Heather Gaudio Fine Art, Connecticut, USA.
